Gemtek’s Tesla Model 3 Will Be Taking On A Targa Rally Once Again

October 17th, 2020 | by Johnna Crider

Back in August, I shared the story about a Tesla Model 3 winning a Targa rally for the first time. The race was held at Targa South West in Australia and was divided into different categories. For the first time, Gemtek's Tesla Model 3 won the Targa 130, which featured 16 stages

It’s THIS Easy To Get Your Tesla Model 3 Ready To Race

August 24th, 2020 | by Jo Borrás

The Tesla Model 3 is quickly becoming a favorite among motorsports enthusiasts. It's no wonder why -- the car's stiff chassis, ease of modification, and excellent torque-vectoring powertrain lend themselves to spirited driving, and the EV's mountainous gobs of torque at 0 RPM certainly don't hurt either

Ford Mustang GT Burned By Tesla Model 3 SR+ (Video)

November 12th, 2019 | by Cynthia Shahan

Due to instant torque, the ease of moving in front of another driver for a needed lane change is one of the strengths of an electric car. I've left many gas cars far behind simply to ensure I move over to the next lane safely ahead of a stream of traffic

Tesla Model S Plaid Prototype Laps the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:13

November 5th, 2019 | by Dr. Maximilian Holland

Respected German publication Auto Motor und Sport is reporting that the Tesla Model S Plaid prototype has been hand-timed lapping the Nordschleife in 7 minutes and 13 seconds, according to the outlet's local source. Adjusting for race-compound tires, this puts the Tesla around 19 seconds ahead of the Taycan Turbo's 7:42 lap time reported by Porsche in August. It's also faster than every gas-powered 4-door series production car 'round the 'ring

Electric Mazda … Porsche vs. Tesla Launchonanza … Gold-Free Perovskite Solar — CleanTechnica Top 20

November 3rd, 2019 | by Zachary Shahan

Mazda? Mazda? A possibly lame-ass electrification effort from Mazda? Yes, apparently, that was somehow our most popular article of the week last week here on CleanTechnica. Will more than 100,000 people consider — let alone buy — the electric Mazda? I doubt it! But they'll read about it. (Granted, Tina's headline must have been part of the appeal, and I did think from the headline the car was going to be edible in some way.)

Tesla Model 3 & Model S Outpace Ferrari F12 On The Track (Video)

October 30th, 2019 | by Guest Contributor

Some of Tesla's fastest all-electric sedans recently faced down a powerful contender on an abandoned airport runway (turned into a drag strip). The contender? The feared Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Racers call it the F12B — a 730 hp beast fitted with a 6.3L V12 engine

Tesla vs Porsche EV Rivalry Accelerates the Death of Fossil Vehicles

September 22nd, 2019 | by Dr. Maximilian Holland

Whilst seemingly irrelevant to everyday driving, the ongoing competition between Tesla and Porsche over EV performance supremacy is quickly demonstrating that fossil sports cars are becoming obsolete — an important symbolic milestone for the EV revolution which will have repercussions in higher volume segments. If Porsche wants its Taycan to keep pace with the Tesla Model S Plaid, Porsche will have to allow it to outperform the company's current flagship Panamera combustion sedan. And that will only highlight the inferiority of fossil vehicles
