If you’ve got an electric car, whether you live in the United States, the United Kingdom, Timbuktu, or Antarctica, you know the two questions most people ask when they are curious about your car: 1) how far can it drive, and 2) how long does it take to charge. Typically, though, these are sort of useless questions. For the most part, people charge at home and need to think about it very little.
The Hyundai Kona Electric is a competitive, compelling, popular electric vehicle. It has relatively long range (up to ~300 miles), a crossover type of size/class, and a relatively low price. As such, it’s one of the best selling electric vehicles in the world, and it’s also one of the top choices among police forces, particularly in Europe.
Mazda has finally entered the electric vehicle market — in the UK, at least. And its market entry is surprisingly appealing. It’s an electric crossover with some pros and cons, but I could see its attractive styling and vehicle class appealing to many buyers.
Buying electric vehicles has become more common than not. This topic along with a couple of others was included in a research study that was conducted by the UK’s largest insurance company, Aviva, which partnered up with YouGov for the research.
The UK doesn’t get a ton of attention in the electric vehicle media landscape, but it’s actually the third-largest electric car market in Europe, trailing only Norway and Germany.
