ACE Parking has just received 18 electric shuttle buses for the San Diego International Airport, and another 11 are due to arrive by the end of 2020. This is the largest electric shuttle order for an airport in US history according to Endera, the commercial electric vehicle company that is supplying the electric shuttles.
The electric truck revolution marches on. The Lion Electric Co. has had more than its fair share of orders in the early electric truck market, and this week it notched a big one. Large Canadian transport company CN signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Lion Electric to buy 50 of its zero-emission, fully electric trucks.
For those who follow the electric vehicle sector closely, it has been clear for several years that electric cars are far, far cleaner and greener than gasoline and diesel cars.

A funny thing for an American who moves to Europe or visits for a bit is seeing Mercedes-Benz vans, trucks, and even buses. In the US, we’ve got the luxury cars and SUVs, but Mercedes delivery vans and heavy-duty vehicles is an odd concept. Now, if you go to Belgium, you may even see electric Mercedes delivery vans delivering food boxes (prepared meals). They include a special design for keeping the food cool.
Public transport operator Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacji Miejskiej (PKM) in Sosnowiec is buying more electric Solaris buses. The contract covers the delivery of 9 solo buses Urbino 12 electric and 5 articulated Urbino 18 electric, including the charging infrastructure.
