My Journey From ICE To EV
It looked to me back then that battery electric vehicles were the only ones that actually made sense from a technology point of view to address the long term problems. So I decided I should just only look into BEVs.

We are starting to see more and more used car dealers in Africa stocking used EVs and not just bringing in EVs per order.
CleanTechnica and EVObsession appreciate the innovative, including early EV adopters. Although we support the wonders of icons such as Elon Musk and his oh so Zen Teslas, we also value every other EV. Being an old organic farmer raised in innovative cultures of do-it-yourself lifestyles, I certainly value action-oriented individuals such as Sam Elliot. Sam is one of the doers not afraid of smaller range EVs to live the zero-emissions way of life. His innovative work helping him to use a smaller-range EV without that any range anxiety is one to be validated and cheered.
My increasingly good friend Paul Fosse wrote an article yesterday giving 5 reasons to buy a Tesla before July 1. At the end of the article, he linked to a 2016 article of mine that I had forgotten about. It’s a simple listicle but it’s actually one of my favorite articles. So, thanks to Paul, I’m reposting it today. In 2016, it was titled, “30 Reasons Your Next Car Should Be Electric.” At this point in time, I think it’s more appropriate to say that you should buy that car today, not wait any longer. Hopefully you’ll agree after reading through this list.
TL;DR: It depends. Used Model 3’s are either a great deal or a horrible one and I will present both cases and they are both potentially true. I depends on your situation.
Oil-bought politicians, Tesla shorts, online trolls, and others with an axe to grind against EVs are always telling us things like “EVs are toys for the rich” — whenever convenient to their arguments. While it’s true that top-of-the-line Tesla vehicles are well over $100,000, there’s a small independent dealer in conservative Arizona proving that not only can EVs be affordable, but they are good for business!
The most popular CleanTechnica articles of the past week included an original analysis of used Tesla Model 3s versus some of the used gasmobiles it competes against, a 380 mile used Nissan LEAF upgrade, a showering of love for Tesla’s motors from a top auto industry expert, and much more.
Ever browsed Tesla’s used car listings? If so, you’ve surely noticed that the company wouldn’t show you the actual car — just stock photos of the models. Now, at last, Tesla has added photos of the actual car being sold to some of its used vehicle listings.
Most people haven’t internalized the thought of their Teslas turning into money spinners instead of costs yet. When that starts sinking in, the data may change. But by that point, other cars probably will have full self-driving capabilities as well.
The stories that caught the eye and imagination the most this past week on CleanTechnica included an original analysis on used Tesla Model 3 prices (vs. the competition), the seemingly never-ending nefarious activities of the oil & gas industry, and rumors about Tesla Model Y prices and specs (and urban Superchargers).
