In 2018, Luxembourg-based Bianca Hurduc decided to start a car blog, Arctic Swan, to provide auto news and reviews. But the site needed a twist. Her car reviews are offered in English and French, featuring “inspiring lady drivers with wanderlust” with content “written by a woman for women.”
I have now crossed the 30,000 miles (49,000 km) milestone in my 2019 Tesla Model 3, in just over 16 months, and in October I reached one full year on a set of Michelin CrossClimate+ tires, which will give some precise range data, so this is a perfect time for an update.
When I placed my reservation for the Tesla Model 3 back in April 2016, I had not imagined I would have to wait that long for the car. During the wait, after having leased a few other EVs, I happened to buy an old bricked (as in, dead engine) and brick-shaped Volvo 240 out of sheer desperation. The idea was to ditch the internal combustion engine that had stalled back in 2012 due to a faulty thermostat and left to rot, and replace it with a nice electric kit.
I wanted to wait a while before writing this review of my new Tesla. For those of you who may have read my latest blog in February, I ended the article saying that my next car would be an EV, promising to purchase it within three years.

Today we’re going to discuss the “things” that a Tesla Model 3 owner should not do to their car. To be clear, these are things that will not improve the ownership experience. These actions also will not extend the life of Model 3 components like the battery, seats, doors, and more.
Living in a car, van, or RV doesn’t appeal to that many people, but for the intrepid minority who do live this lifestyle, it can offer some unconventional and enriching experiences for those who choose mobile living out of necessity or for those who do so for the freedom to travel as much as their budgets allow.
