Tesla has long supplied Destination Chargers to hotels, restaurants, Airbnb units, Tesla stores, and other common destinations for Tesla drivers. However, it is doing something new now in this arena.

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority Commissioners sealed a deal that will increase the total number of EV chargers on the Turnpike from 20 to 76 — in particular, these will be V3 Tesla Superchargers.
In recent weeks, I’ve seen multiple people assert that, “Sure, you can take EVs on road trips on major highways now, but I like to take the backroads, and there are few to no chargers on backroads!” Now, this obviously confused me — not simply because of the fact that it’s not true that chargers exist only on major highways.
In a recent review of the Tesla Model 3 by German newspaper Die Welt, auto industry expert Prof. Ferdinand Dudenhöffer is quoted as saying that Tesla has a huge lead over the competition. “The technical lead is easily four to five years. Range and driving pleasure are unmatched.”
