Ferrari has taken an important baby step towards electrification with its latest production supercar, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). The car has three electric motors (two at the front, one at the rear axle) coupled with a V8 engine. It goes from 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 2.5 seconds. Meanwhile, with a pure electric drivetrain, the next-gen Tesla Roadster prototype does so in 2.1 secs.

AIPEI, Taiwan — XING Mobility, a Taipei-based electric powertrain system supplier, has selected Clean Wave Technologies to provide electric motors and drive control units to a rally-inspired supercar. “Miss R,” the world’s first electric supercar with on-and off-road capabilities, will deliver 1MW of power. XING Mobility selected Clean Wave based on its unique product features, including high-efficiency, compact design, low weight and no use of rare earth metals. The vehicle will utilize four Clean Wave traction motors, one for each wheel.
