As CleanTechnica has reported in recent months, solar power now generates the cheapest electricity in history — according to the conservative, fossil industry–entrenched International Energy Agency. As a result, demand for solar power has been growing strongly in the United States and worldwide.
The electrical panel is getting in on the renewable residence fun with a new partnership between Panasonic and Span that promises to bring a new level of renewables integration to the party. The agreement will see the two companies partnering to more seamlessly integrate Panasonic’s Evervolt energy storage systems with Span’s intelligent, connected electrical panels.
The solar technology solutioneers at Panasonic have partnered with the smart energy solution providers at SolarEdge Technologies on a new premium smart module that folds SolarEdge’s panel optimization tech in with Panasonic’s solar panel technology.
Panasonic’s solar photovoltaic HIT module production tech will pass the 20-year milestone this year, according to an email Panasonic sent to CleanTechnica. The company first debuted its patented, high-efficiency photovoltaic module back in 1997 and has since produced more than 18 million HIT modules.
