1st Tesla Hearse — CleanTechnica Flashback

July 12th, 2019 | by Zachary Shahan

As I've noted a few times this week, I've been digging through our archives (it's a long story) in recent weeks. I've found a handful of fun and perhaps enlightening gems in the process. Below is a story about the first Tesla hearse (funeral car), which was very popular when I published it in February 2018. If you missed it then or just want to check out this unique Tesla again, scroll down and enjoy the show

Fastned — EV Fast Charging Leadership (#CleanTechnica Exclusive)

February 23rd, 2018 | by Zachary Shahan

Fastned is still the only EV charging network I know of that includes CHAdeMO, CCS, and Tesla (via adapter) charging options at all of its stations. This may seem unimportant, since Tesla has its own Supercharger network, but as Fastned co-founder Bart Lubbers pointed out in a recent interview with me, approximately half of the electric cars in the Netherlands are Teslas. As such, even with other options, many of Fastned's customers are Tesla drivers

The 1st Tesla Hearse (#CleanTechnica Video)

February 11th, 2018 | by Zachary Shahan

Not that long ago, the world's first Tesla hearse popped onto the scene. Tesla hearse? Yes, someone had the brilliant idea to turn a Tesla into a funeral car. I wanted to capture the car in person and talk more to the company and driver behind it, so I took a trip to Den Haag (The Hague) for a visit. Well, actually, I was in Holland for rEVolution 2017 and a great cleantech leader (CleanTechnica reader and now friend) from the Netherlands lined up the visit. Of course, I was certainly thrilled with the idea

Charging The rEVolution (CleanTechnica Interview)

October 29th, 2017 | by Zachary Shahan

Sprouting out of EV-loving Holland, EVBox has become one of the largest EV charging station companies in the world ... and it has plans to conquer the world with some guidance (and a lot of cash) from Engie. So, we're honored to have the company represented our first annual EV charging conference* in Warsaw, Poland

Connexxion has ordered 21 units of the new BYD offering, which will be deployed to the north part of North Holland. The 21 Midibuses will put into service running a daytime bus route

Dutch Solar Bike Path SolaRoad Successful & Expanding

March 12th, 2017 | by Rogier van Rooij

Bike paths: The Netherlands is covered with them, connecting more or less every destination a person might wish to go to and greatly increasing the convenience of cycling as a sustainable mode of transport. In the densely populated country, where space is scarce, a consortium of companies and research labs called Solaroad is endeavoring to make those cycle lanes reduce carbon emissions in yet another way: by having them to generate solar electricity

Europe’s 1st Urban Fast Charging Station — In The Hague, Holland

December 2nd, 2016 | by Roy L Hales

Billions of euros are being invested into Europe's EV market. Most of the industry's best known vehicles are available. The race to build the infrastructure, which can help make them the vehicle of choice, lags behind. Ford, Volkswagen Group, BMW Group, and Daimler are entering into the race with joint plans to develop 400 sites by 2020. However, Fastned has already built 55 stations throughout the Netherlands and, on December 1, announced the opening of Europe's 1st "Urban Fast Charging Station" in The Hague, Holland, the Netherlands
