New Rebates For Charging Stations In Virginia

Dominion Energy Virginia this week announced another step to drive electric vehicle adoption, save customers money and reduce emissions in Virginia. Rebates for charging stations for multi-family communities, workplaces, transit bus depots and fast-charging locations are now available. A rebate program for the company’s residential customers will launch in Virginia in early 2021.

Europe’s New EV Incentives Could Actually Help Africa

This incentive-induced phenomenon in Germany that has resulted in some used EV models sitting in dealerships for months is probably temporary, but it does present an opportunity for both African used car dealers and German used car dealers.

West African and North African states use left-hand drive vehicles just like Germany, and could find a new source of reasonably priced used EVs in the short to medium term. They better start taking advantage of the current situation which may not last long.

This massive infrastructure bill is the result of the work of many committees in the House. The centerpiece is the surface transportation bill (sometimes known as the highway bill) that gets passed about every 5 years. Then other legislative pieces got added, including adding tax incentives for electric vehicles and clean energy. The result is a good bill that will pass out of the House — the question, as always, is what will happen in the Senate.
