For Jack Smith, the “A” in DNA seems to stand for adventure. Smith skateboarded across America with a couple of his friends in 1976. Yes, across America. He did this a few more times before deciding he wanted to go it alone, and in 2019 he completed the first cross-country … [continued]
The Hunter Board is the world’s first Electric Skateboard built to reduce the rider’s risk of falling
MellowBoards reached out to us to try its Cruiser electric skateboard (e-skateboard). After a 25 year break on a skateboard and then two e-skateboard reviews, I couldn’t wait to try it out. After some hiccups on my side, I put four miles on the Cruiser on the first outing and now can’t imagine not having one with me at all times.
The Leafboard launched with its first iteration on Kickstarter, with nearly $240,000 in orders secured that saw the first iteration created and shipped to early adopters. The team at Leafboard took all of the things they learned with the first version and are back with this second generation board, which they have dubbed the Leafboard Plus.
Boosted’s new Stealth board looks very much like the previous versions of the board, but much like the name implies, that is all just a cover to keep it flying under the radar. In reality, the Stealth is a wild dog, ready to chase after a bunny at a moments notice…but there’s no bunny. Or maybe I’m the bunny and the controller is just begging me to crank it up one more time. It’s all getting a bit blurry as the board takes off and my body crouches down, knees bent in search of the tenuous balance as the adrenaline hits my bloodstream again. Sweaty palms. My body begs for more as my brain tells my hand to lay off the acceleration.
Boosted has not just set the bar for what an electric skateboard is, or even raised the bar – Boosted IS the bar against which all other electric skateboards are measured. Its first generation Boosted Board enabled riders around the world to escape their containerized vehicles and instead, to explore their cities, villages, and neighborhoods as they are, raw and exposed.
The TeamGee H9 is a beast of an electric skateboard on paper, so we were thrilled when TeamGee reached out to us with a board for us to take out and thrash around town.
The folks over at TeamGee reached out to us about their latest electric skateboard, the H9. From the specs, this thing has the potential to disrupt the electric skateboard market.
Disclaimer: up until now, I’ve always shied away from electric skateboard tests since the choice was limited with a quality that didn’t appeal to me. In an industry that is just starting, one exception is the KingKong Pro electric skateboard (e-skateboard). I’ve been following of its successful IndieGoGo campaign, which is ending soon (hurry up if you want to jump into that, by the way), and then I landed a review board. As you can guess, 1,800 MW of power spells oodles of fun and smiles! Read on for more details and a short bloopers video.
