Day to day, it is true CleanTechnica focuses on the major players in the EV landscape. Still, it is refreshing to spy smaller ventures and lesser known EV faces. Diversity (in everything) is one key to health. Detroit Electric recently shared outline sketches of three future models it claims we’ll be seeing over the next three years. Let’s hope.
Up to 100 electric vehicle charging stations will be installed at national parks throughout the US thanks to a newly announced partnership between BMW of North America and the National Park Foundation (NPF), the National Park Service (NPS), and the Department of Energy (DOE).
Detroit Electric was an original innovator of the electric car. It opened shop in 1907, over a century ago. The company reignited in new form in 2008, but it has apparently taken a while to get rolling again. Presently, Detroit Electric’s new Leamington Spa factory in the UK is in the midst of a staffing drive enabled by a $1.8 billion dollar joint venture deal.
Detroit Electric has been MIA the past two years but now has received nearly $2 billion in new money and is looking to get back in the electric car game.
