Our operations here at CleanTechnica got quite disrupted by a couple of recent hurricanes — Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene. As a result, we’ve got a lot of news to catch up on for our regular roundups on top cleantech stories. In this edition, I’m going to break the highlights up into categories (in bold below) in order to manage the enormous number of stories I couldn’t leave out.

1. Given the intro, let’s start with hurricanes. We’ve had some records set by Hurricane Milton, and Hurricane Helene was its own beast, giving us a taste of what a truly climate-disrupted world looks like. Below are a handful of hurricane-themed stories that I think stood out.

2. Electric cars and SUVs get the most attention, but electric motorcycles, electric buses, planes, boats, and electric heavy-duty trucks are evolving and having a growing impact on the world around us. Below are a handful of top stories on electric motorcycles, electric buses, and electric heavy-duty trucks.

3. Tesla news. There’s a lot of it. If Tesla isn’t for you, this is an easy one to skip. If you like following and keeping track of the ongoing and changing story of the most famous cleantech company, here’s a bevy of stories on the market giant.

There was a lot of discussion around Tesla’s 10/10 “We, Robot” event, of course. To run through those stories, head over to our Tesla robotaxis archives or our Tesla FSD archives. More sales articles are included in the EV sales section below.

4. Policy matters. Solar, EVs, wind, energy storage, energy efficiency — these things are all massively influenced by policy. Policy matters for accelerating or slowing the cleantech transition. Here are some stories on important policy matters.

5. LFP batteries are rocking it, and they deserve more attention and praise. Here are several stories on the most important battery tech at the moment.

6. EV sales. We obsessively follow and cover EV sales around the world and at different companies. Below are some of our recent sales reports.

7. More solar news. Solar was weaved into multiple categories above, but it needs its own category for some other stories worth highlighting.

8. Interesting EV reviews are always fun, and we got a few more original EV reviews in recent weeks.

9. Other. Well, there are just some other stories that didn’t fit into the categories above but deserve to be highlighted.
