What would it be like to win a raffle on Earth Day 2022 and be handed the keys to a new Tesla Model X? Soon you’d be gliding along soundlessly in a vehicle that stands out among luxury SUVs. With supple interior materials and precise fit and finish, you’d feel very special. People would be amazed to see the falcon-wing rear doors that flip up when you disembark.
Thanks to the Illinois Solar Education Association (ISEA) and its annual Tesla raffle, the dream of driving your own Tesla Model X could become a reality. The hugely popular ISEA raffle has been an annual event for 8 years now. In fact, last year’s winner was quite surprised and delighted. Folks from ISEA stayed on the phone with him until his wife arrived home so that she could share in the thrill that he had won the Tesla raffle. The excitement was invigorating!
Reliable, renewable, and affordable energy is within our grasp. Yet it’s fair to say it’s been a rough couple of years for many organizations, including ISEA, with the economic stoppage of the global pandemic on top of facing everyday challenges. Though, ISEA is determined to continue with its mission of educating the public about solar energy.
In fact, ISEA is pretty proud of the part they played in getting passage of the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) in September, which will ensure a continued stable renewable energy market in Illinois. CEJA is already accelerating Illinois’ transition to clean energy, which makes the Tesla Model X raffle all the more important — all proceeds will directly benefit ISEA’s mission of solar education and advocacy.
When ISEA chose to raffle off a Tesla Model X, it selected one of the safest SUVs ever made. Without getting too technical, the Model X has high-strength architecture and a floor-mounted battery pack for incredible occupant protection and low rollover risk. The body, chassis, restraints, and battery technology provide a very high likelihood that you’ll experience the best ride you’ve ever had in an automobile.
You see, electric vehicles, just like solar energy, are crucial parts of the journey toward a more sustainable world.
Driving a Model X is an unparalleled experience, with Tesla’s all-electric powertrain providing performance that goes from zero to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds! The acceleration is smooth and fast, but not jerky. The Model X includes Tesla’s latest active safety features, such as Autopilot, which enables your car to steer, accelerate, and brake automatically within its lane under your active supervision.
Join in the fight to stop and even reverse the damage that’s been done to our climate by buying a ticket to the ISEA Tesla Model X raffle. Show that you believe a clear route to a carbon-free future with a more diversified energy sector is possible.
The cost is $100 per ticket, or four for $300. Only 2500 raffle tickets will be sold. The contest runs until April 19th, 2022, and the drawing will be held on April 22nd, 2022.

About ISEA: The group is two sister non-profit organizations – the Illinois Solar Energy Association and the Illinois Solar Education Association. Together they promote the widespread application of solar and other forms of renewable energy through the mission of advocacy and education. Founded in 1975, ISEA is the state resource for renewable energy-related policy developments, educational classes, events, and access to local renewable energy businesses.
Raffle rules: There is no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased. You do not need to be present at the drawing to win. If fewer than 2,300 tickets are sold, then the raffle converts to a 50/50 drawing. Tickets are only valid if sold in the continental US.
