The First Municipality In Denmark To Convert To Electric Buses Gets Closer To Launch

In Roskilde Municipality, close to a million miles is covered by bus each year, and silence is coming to all that travel. All of the city's old diesel buses are to be replaced by the electric alternative. When the electric buses are fully phased in, the transition from diesel to electricity will save the environment 1,400 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year


Roskilde Is 1st City In Denmark To Convert Bus Fleet To Electric

The Danish Municipality of Roskilde is taking a step into the future with the announcement that all 20 of the buses serving all of its municipal bus lines will be electric starting in April 2019 after the city council voted on the matter. The milestone move makes the Roskilde Municipality the first in Denmark to convert its fleet to fully electric buses.


China 100% Electric Bus Sales “Just” 89,546 In 2017

The Chinese market for pure electric buses had approximately 89,546 sales last year. This is down from 115,700 sales in 2016. This means that year on year, the market sales decreased by 23%. Reports indicate that this decrease is down to multiple factors, but mainly due to changes to electric bus subsidies from Chinese national and local governments

The figures allow those of us living elsewhere in the world to get more than a bit envious about China's progress (those of us who don't like breathing the exhaust from diesel buses, that is)
