Ever browsed Tesla’s used car listings? If so, you’ve surely noticed that the company wouldn’t show you the actual car — just stock photos of the models. Now, at last, Tesla has added photos of the actual car being sold to some of its used vehicle listings.
Making electric vehicles affordable (and fun!) has been one of the foundational goals of Tesla and it has officially delivered on the goal of selling a $35,000 Tesla today.
There are a few used Model S on its website that are hovering around the $35,000 mark, with one that can be had for just a hair less … as I write this.
What if you could buy a Tesla Model S for less than the price of a base Model 3? According to Auto Evolution, Tyler Hoover (a.k.a. Hoovies) did just that and “it has a great story. The car was listed on Auto Trader for $32,500. Somehow, the guy ended up paying [an extra] $1,000. Why? Now that EVs have been available for several years, a lively used market has developed, making electric driving available to an ever-growing segment of the population.
As announced a few days ago, this week’s #Electrifying webinar is about getting a used Tesla Model S vs a new Tesla Model 3. With various Model 3 details unveiled last night in Fremont, California, and then on the Tesla website, we now have quite a lot to consider in order to make this choice.
With Tesla Model 3 now in production, we’re having a lot of fun. The naysayers have not exactly quieted down (they actually seem louder than ever), but yet another major milestone they said was impossible is already in the rearview camera. New details on the Model 3 are coming out on Friday along with the final unveiling of the production version of the car. There will surely be some fun surprises. However, more or less, we know what the Model 3 is offering.
