Elon Musk recently took to Twitter in order to answer several questions about the automaker’s futuristic Cybertruck. The Tesla CEO said that the production version of the Cybertruck will be better in terms of looks and the width of the truck will be reduced from 84″ (2134 mm) to 82″ (2083 mm).
There’s a lot of excitement in the electric vehicle world these days. Tesla has come along and shown that you can produce a mass-market electric car that ranks #1 in its class (by far) and even ranks in the top 5 of all car models. This has created excitement about new frontiers — electric crossovers, electric pickup trucks, electric semi trucks, etc.
We’re approaching one year of operation with Tesla Shuttle — city-to-city transport in a Tesla, airport pickups & drop-offs, special event show & tells, and a bit of Uber use. Just passing 50,000 kilometers of service and approximately 100 passengers, it seemed like a good time to reflect on some of the lessons learned and customer reactions.
Long before the final Tesla Model 3 interior was shown, there was daily chatter about the minimalist, sparse, button-free, knob-free, and clean look of the Model 3 interior and especially the dash. Some loved it. Some hated it. Plenty of commenters claimed it was just an effort to cut costs.
