Clearly, cities and countries should be promoting electric bicycles. What should that look like, and what’s actually happening?
The popularity of electric vehicles is becoming very apparent in so many ways. In many places, the price of used electric vehicles is actually increasing, because demand is so high. In the case of the Tesla Model 3, some people are paying more for a recent used car, than the price of a new one. This is because they are not prepared to wait in the reservation list to get one. In my own experience, I see more and more electric vehicles on the road. Where I used to have the charging stations to myself when on my travels, now I see more and more electric vehicle drivers charging alongside me. I think I will soon be joining a queue, as there will be more drivers needing a charge than available chargers.

Tesla released a new quarterly safety report for Q3 2018 that hints at a desire to make the safety of its vehicles a more visible differentiator versus the competition. The decision to increase the visibility of vehicle safety data was made earlier this year when certain news prompted Tesla to design and implement a new vehicle data system to provide more meaningful safety data from customer vehicles.
What do you first think when you see a picture of a burning car on Twitter? Tesla of course, since that’s the public service announcement the media has drilled into our head. Also, you know, a gas tank can’t catch fire and blow up. And even if gas was flammable, cars wouldn’t be catching on fire every day, ya know?
The Tesla Model 3 has been awarded a 5 star safety rating in all categories and sub-categories by NHTSA. Some of its competitors have not been so fortunate.
Will regenerative braking will be sufficient to brake an 80,000 pound, fully-loaded Tesla Semi truck?
We wouldn’t let our kids drink and drive, drive without seatbelts or drive without ABS. Why would we let them drive without Autopilot?
Fiat Chrysler is recalling 4.8 million vehicles because of a possible short circuit that could preventing cruise control from shutting off when required. How good a job is the press doing at getting the word out? How would the press have responded if Tesla was in these shoes?
