New data show that the Porsche Taycan is now the top selling Porsche in Europe. Meanwhile, the 911 is down 37%, the 718 is down 5%, and the Panamera is down a whopping 71% and on the bottom of the sales ranking.
The Tesla Model Y might look like the ultimate mom car, with its SUV posture and room for a few booster seats in the back, but Mountain Pass Performance had a different vision in mind. Sort of.
Elon Musk revealed in an interview released today that the Tesla will aim for a base price of $49,000 for its coming pickup truck. The company also aspires for it to have better “truck-like capability” than a Ford F-150, whilst being a better sports car than a standard Porsche 911.

Talking about cars in general and electric cars in particular, you are bound to get around to the subject of the launch from 0–60 mph acceleration every now and then. And frankly, it doesn’t really make sense in daily life, does it? The recent hype about the new Tesla Roadster proves the point. I mean, 0–60 in 1.9 seconds? Really? You would need a medical clearance for doing that. I get blurry vision below 4 seconds, so what’s the point?
