French EV Market Up 65%, Finally Some Reshuffling!

The French plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) market had 6,433 registrations in October, up 65% year over year (YoY). Interestingly, this time, it was the plug-in hybrids (+118%) pulling the market up the most, with BEVs growing "just" 53%

The French passenger electric vehicle market scored 5,847 registrations in June, up 25% year over year (YoY). That plug-in double-digit growth is even more significant when we realize that the overall market remained stagnant (-2%). This result placed the 2019 plug-in vehicle (EV) share at 2.5%, with fully electric vehicles (BEVs) alone having 1.9% share

The French plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) market scored 4,051 registrations in May, up 34% year over year (YoY), with fully electric cars (+36%) growing faster than plug-in hybrids (30%). All-electric cars (BEVs) represented 71% of all plug-in sales


French EV Market Returns To Normal — April EV Sales Report

The French plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) market had 4,542 registrations in April, up 43% YoY, with a big portion of this growth coming from pure electric vehicles (BEVs). In total, BEVs scored 3,222 deliveries last month (+70%), with those all-electric cars representing 71% of all plug-in vehicle sales. This growth is even more significant when we realize that the overall vehicle market remained stagnant (+0.4%)

The French plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) passenger car market had 4,178 registrations in February, up 32% year over year (YoY), with all-electric models growing faster than plug-in hybrids (+46% vs +16%). A big portion of this growth came from the landing of the Tesla Model 3, which had 401 deliveries last month, but even discounting the "Model 3 effect," full-electrics grew 26%, a positive sign that the Model 3 isn't stealing sales from other electric cars but from its gas/diesel competitors


Peugeot e-208 Electric: 30 Minute DC Charging, 211 Mile WLTP Range

Early this morning, Peugeot announced the upcoming e-208 electric vehicle, with 30 minute DC charging and a WLTP-rated range of 211 miles (340 km). Order books will open in "late summer" 2019 for deliveries likely starting in early 2020. It's a great looking car, and the 30 minute DC charging makes it practical for occasional longer trips in regions with good charging infrastructure
