Within two weeks in June, I read two articles on CleanTechnica that somehow made me blush a little. The first one openly said the era of PHEVs must end (something I have said a few times myself, to be honest) and the second one was on SUVs being responsible for growing transport emissions in the EU. The reason I blushed was that a few days before the first of the two articles came out, I had decided to buy (or, to be precise, long-term hire/rent) a PHEV SUV, the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid

While the overall European market is still in recovery mode in June, down 24% year over year (YoY), the European passenger plugin vehicle market has returned to the fast track, having achieved almost 93,000 registrations in June (+95%)


Plug-In Vehicles = 7.8% Market Share In Europe

After a Covid-derived drop in April (-16% year over year), the European passenger plug-in vehicle market went back to black in May, having scored 46,800 registrations (+23%), a great performance considering the overall market is still recovering (-57% in May)


Europe Hits 11% Plug-in Vehicle Market Share in April

The European passenger plug-in market scored 31,500 registrations in April, down 16% year over year (YoY), which is nevertheless a great performance considering the effect that the several lockdowns across the continent made and the overall market crashing (-78% YoY). That combo inflated last month's plug-in share to an amazing 11% share
