New Rules to Add Momentum to Brazil’s Solar Energy Drive

Brazil’s been slow to realize its vast solar energy potential, but that’s changing. Brazil’s Agencia Nacional de Energia Electrica said that in two weeks it will enact new regulations that offer solar energy tax breaks to utilities and authorize net metering, which would allow consumers and businesses to sell electricity from renewable sources to grid operators.
