2018 Zero FX Review | Cheaper Batteries = Better Everything

Zero gave Robert and I a Zero FX for a month, to put it through its paces. As readers may know, I’ve been a Zero FX(S) owner since 2013, and writing about Zeros since 2009. The great thing about Zero is it has always tried to keep prices as reasonable as possible, considering how expensive batteries have been. And as batteries have gotten cheaper, Zero has passed that savings along to customers, while also improving the components and build quality.

1st Exclusive Zero Motorcycles Dealership Opens

Although Hollywood Electrics and a handful of dealerships worldwide have sold thousands of Zeros in the past decade, Zero Motorcycles is ready to follow Tesla’s example in opening its own dealership. And the company is starting in the epicenter of American motorcycling — Orange County. We’ll be covering the event, and hope to see you there. Make Every Day Ride To Work Day!

Monday, June 18th, is Ride To Work Day. For some of us, this is already the case, as you may have read. As Los Angeles traffic grinds to a standstill, and the rate of car ownership increases, this old biker (moto-commuting since 1985!) is overjoyed to see an increasing number of Angelenos commuting on two wheels.

6 Months of Zero

When I picked up “my” Zero DS from the dealer, I was so happy about it that I showed it around as much as I could. I showed it to friends and family, on social media, and on motorcycle forums. So, here we are: 6 months and 6,000 kilometers further. This article is about the day-to-day life commuting on an electric motorcycle, and at the same time, it is a technical review of the bike (a 2017 Zero DS with powertank).
