A Better Route Planner & Other Open Source Projects Need Our Help

A Better Route Planner (ABRP) is a great way to plan trips in electric vehicles. Not only does it help Tesla owners like it was originally designed to, but owners of an increasing number of other vehicles can use it to find their way nearly anywhere without using a drop of gas. When I used it on a recent road trip in my Nissan LEAF, I found that it worked great whenever it had complete data available. Unfortunately, the other open source projects it relies on need your help to make ABRP all it can be.

French EV Market Returns To Normal — April EV Sales Report

The French plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) market had 4,542 registrations in April, up 43% YoY, with a big portion of this growth coming from pure electric vehicles (BEVs). In total, BEVs scored 3,222 deliveries last month (+70%), with those all-electric cars representing 71% of all plug-in vehicle sales. This growth is even more significant when we realize that the overall vehicle market remained stagnant (+0.4%).

Of the three e-bicycles I have been traveling on, the GenZe offers the most in terms of exercise. Even on the full electric assist, I find myself pumping and circulating my blood more than with the others. I love all of them for their electric assist, but one of the reasons I prefer to bicycle is for exercise. I was getting too complacent and lacking that exercise, so I felt that along with preventing emissions, I could save my body and brain from more rapid degeneration.
