With Tesla’s slower than expected Model 3 production ramp, the electric star of 2017 (in many respects) didn’t shine very brightly on the sales spreadsheet. Chinese startup Byton has introduced its first model called simply Concept. It is an all electric SUV that comes in either rear wheel or all wheel drive configurations and offers a dazzling array of electronic wizardry. It will start at $45,000.
A number of new deals on the Renault Zoe EV have been revealed by Renault with the turn of the year. People in the UK can now get a Zoe lease from £199/month, via a 3-year 4.9% APR Selections Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) scheme, amongst other things.

Elon Musk dashed off a tweet on January 6 (or super early January 7) that promised some exciting new features at a Supercharger location in Los Angeles.
