NIO Inc. Delivered 23,231 Vehicles in May, Up 13.1% YoY  

NIO Inc. delivered 23,231 vehicles in May 2025, representing an increase of 13.1% year-over-year. The deliveries consisted of 13,270 vehicles from NIO, 6,281 vehicles from ONVO, and 3,680 vehicles from firefly. As of now, NIO Inc. has delivered a cumulative total of 760,789 vehicles, of which the NIO brand has delivered 710,655, the ONVO brand has delivered 46,223, and firefly brand has delivered 3,911.

1 NIO House, 97 Power Swap Stations and Charging Stations Opened Globally in May

In May, NIO opened 1 NIO House and deployed 50 Power Swap Stations and 47 charging stations globally. As of May 31, NIO had built 184 NIO Houses, and 3,404 Power Swap Stations worldwide, with 989 Stations along the expressways in China. NIO had deployed 4,607 charging stations and 26,441 chargers, and connected to 1,862,000 third-party chargers. It has offered more than 7,514 battery swaps to users in total. NIO had launched 78 Power Journeys routes in China and 2 routes in Europe.

NIOs New ES6 and EC6 Launched

On May 16, 2025, NIO officially launched its upgraded 6-series SUVs: the smart electric all-round SUV New ES6, and the smart electric coupé SUV New EC6. The user deliveries of the two models in China started on May 20. The New ES6 starts at RMB 338,000 and the New EC6 starts at RMB 358,000. With battery subscription of Battery as a Service (BaaS), the starting prices are RMB 268,000 and RMB 288,000 respectively.

NIOs New ET5 and ET5T Launched

Building upon two years of development efforts, NIO officially launched the smart electric mid-size sedan New ET5, and the smart electric tourer New ET5 Touring (ET5T), at Hefei Luogang Central Park, the world’s largest urban central park. The New ET5 and ET5T both start at RMB 298,000. With battery subscription of Battery as a Service (BaaS), the starting price is RMB 228,000.

NIO ET9 Steer-by-Wire System Received E-Mark Certification

In May, NIO ET9’s steer-by-wire system received e-Mark certification under the automotive regulations of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). As the first model to feature steer-by-wire in the Chinese market, the reliability of the ET9’s steer-by-wire system has been recognized by both Chinese and European regulators, accelerating the mass production of steer-by-wire technology across the industry.

ONVOs 1st Anniversary Celebration & Happy Family Week

May 15, the International Day of Families, also marks ONVO’s first anniversary. To thank over 40,000 users who’ve joined us on this journey in the past one year, ONVO launched the Happy Family Week featuring a series of events. From May 10 to 20, spanning 11 consecutive days and multiple family-oriented holidays, more than 5,500 events were held and over one million surprise gifts were distributed to share joy with users. First Version of NIO WorldModel Launched

On May 30, the first version of the NIO WorldModel (NWM) officially began rolling out. The initial release covers over 400,000 Banyan platform vehicles, with the Cedar platform vehicle update starting at the end of June. Prioritizing safety, the first version of NWM delivers comprehensive upgrades in both technology and user experience across four major scenarios: active safety, highway pilot, urban pilot, and intelligent parking.

NIO Power and ZEEKR Powers Partnership on Charging

On May 29, NIO Power and Zhejiang Haohan Energy Technology Co., Ltd (ZEEKR Power) officially entered into a partnership on charging networks. Through dynamic data sharing between platforms, the collaboration will allow two-way connectivity of their charging infrastructure nationwide, providing convenient charging services with an expansive network and responsive queries to users.

NIO Power Signed Cooperation Agreement with ZDK Group

On May 20, NIO Power signed a cooperation agreement with Shenyang CGEP Development & Construction Group Co., Ltd. (ZDK Group). The two parties will engage in in-depth collaboration on the construction and operation of integrated charging and battery swapping infrastructure for new energy vehicles. The plan includes jointly building 100 integrated charging and swapping stations across Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
