In this article, I want to look at crossover styling and show some tricks that Tesla used in styling the Model Y. These styling tricks allowed Tesla to design a very functional 7 seat crossover with 66 cubic feet of storage (with the 2nd and 3rd row folded) that still looks like a Model 3 to the average person.

As electric cars become more pervasive (hello, Tesla Model 3), the potential stress on the country’s electric grid increases. Many local utilities now offer Time of Use (TOU) plans to encourage consumers to shift their electricity usage from times of peak demand to times of low demand. TOU plans typically offer discounted rates on electricity used off-peak (normally at night or weekends) and surcharges on electricity used during peak hours (typically during the day on weekdays). But there are other ways to encourage a shift to off-peak power usage. One of these ways is the SmartCharge NY program.

The Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus just became available to order in Europe. This is not a €35,000 or €37,000 car — because taxes, import duties, etc. Though, at a base price of €44,500, the car is competitive — highly competitive.

Last month, fully electric vehicles saw their registrations double year over year (YoY), pushing the overall market up +28% despite sales of every other powertrain type dropping at least 20%, which led to record fully electric vehicle (58%) and overall plug-in vehicle (69%) shares. As you already know, Tesla Model 3 deliveries went through the roof in March, with the model achieving 5,315 registrations, a new all-time record for any nameplate in Norway, whatever the fuel source.
