Interviewing Unplugged Performance Founder Ben Schaffer (Exclusive Video Interview)

April 13th, 2016 by

It was great fun touring Unplugged Performance on my trip to Los Angeles for the Tesla Model 3 unveiling. Whether you are familiar with Unplugged Performance or not, the videos below should be quite interesting to you.

CleanTechnica & EV Obsession got to interview Ben Schaffer, the CEO and founder of Unplugged Performance, regarding what they do, where their inspiration originates, the company makeup, the Tesla Model 3 & Model X & Model S, and more. We also chatted about the underlying fundamentals of how to make a car faster — make it more powerful or lighter — which led to a bit of a chat about the BMW i3, BMW i8, how they compare to an SUV from Tesla, etc.

In the second video, you can also check out some of Unplugged Performance’s super-light parts, many of which are created with genuine carbon fiber that Unplugged Performance produces in house. Below the videos, you can enjoy a bunch of beautiful photos taken by Kyle Field.

A huge thanks to Ben for taking the time on such a busy day to both chat with us and host us for the evening (something we can’t express enough thanks for), and to Nicolas Zart for his video work and Kyle Field for the great pics.

But he offers no investment advice and does not recommend investing in Tesla or any other company.
