In a recent Facebook post, I saw that you were soliciting public input for where EV charging stations should be added in Albuquerque. I submitted some comments on the Google Forms link, but I wanted to share a more detailed proposal to both you and other EV owners. If done right, the money available from the Volkswagen settlement could go a lot further in helping to promote adoption of electric vehicles.I’m going to discuss low-cost/high-impact ideas for both Albuquerque and the rest of New Mexico to do this.

Stuttgart, Home Of Porsche & Mercedes, Has Banned Older Diesels — #CleanTechnica Report

Every diesel vehicle over 10 years old is now effectively banned from operating in any part of the entire city area of Stuttgart, home to Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and 630,000 residents. The move signals the first serious diesel ban in any German city. A mid-year review of the resulting pollution rates will decide if many of the remaining diesels, older than 5 years, will also be banned from 2020.

Dirty Reality Catching Up With Fossil Fuel Vehicles

This week marks an important transitional step away from the obsolete technology of dirty fossil fuel vehicles and in favor of electric vehicles that can run on clean energy. The Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) has come in to force in the EU from 1st of September 2018, leading to much hand-wringing by the traditional fossil fuel vehicle OEMs, whose cars have always been highly polluting, and are now running out of road.
