The Spirit of Innovation from Rolls-Royce set tentative speed records for an electric airplane this month.
Rolls-Royce has decided that it wants to produce the fastest electric airplane in the sky. Furthermore, it’s beyond the concept or visualization phase. Rolls-Royce has tested the technology for this on what’s called an “ionBird,” which means “a full-scale replica of the plane’s core.”

The UK-based electric motor manufacturer YASA will be increasing its production capacity 50-fold over the coming months. That is, it will be increasing from a production capacity of 2,000 units a year to 100,000 units a year. The increase is in anticipation of a surging market for electric vehicles in coming years, company execs have revealed.
