Tesla’s Future Is Centered On Innovation — The SEC Lawsuit Was A Dart Thrown At…
The concept of future innovation is keenly Tesla.

This is the first monthly publication of what the CleanTechnica team calls #Pravduh About #Tesla.
I follow two things very closely — cleantech and US politics. I consider the latter a civic duty, but seldom weave it into my work. I listen to segments from many sources across the political spectrum and read articles across the political spectrum. I love MSNBC’s coverage because it is generally so good at cutting through the noise, digging into the topics that matter the most (imho), and calling B.S. what it is — B.S.
However, MSNBC doesn’t know cleantech.
Elon Musk sent two emails to employees over the weekend praising them for their hard work and suggesting the company was very close to being profitable.
CNBC is reporting that Elon Musk and Tesla have settled the lawsuit brought last Thursday by the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) alleging fraud as a result of Musk’s biggest August tweet, a tweet saying he was considering taking the company private and had already lined up the investors he needed to make that happen (“funding secured”).
I wonder whether the SEC picked the wrong cherries from Elon Musk’s deposition.
The SEC has sued Elon Musk personally, alleging fraud. One result could be that Elon is banned from serving as an officer or director of any publicly traded company — including his own.
It is well known that Elon Musk and Tesla don’t like to conform to established industry standards or feel limited by them. So trying to measure their performance by established industry standards is like measuring them on a scale of bananas, utterly pointless.
I’m a huge fan of the media and high-quality journalism. The free press is a cornerstone of democracy, and much more. The largest media outlets in the world have the resources, passion, and expertise to do tremendous investigative reporting that is invaluable to society. But they are dropping the ball on Tesla, misleading consumers in a highly biased manner.
