I Visited 107 Tesla Stores — Here’s What I Discovered
Most people are not crazy enough to attempt a 48 state road trip.
However, this would not be my first, but my second, epic adventure around the lower 48 in a Tesla.

The first big shipment of Tesla Model 3s has finally landed in China today. Reports from Chinese government media report that the Glovis Symphony arrived at Tianjin Port a short time ago. The next shipments will arrive in Tianjin and Shanghai next week as Tesla rushes to convert Model 3 reservations and early orders into delivered vehicles before the end of the quarter (in which Elon Musk is hoping to eke out another profit).
The breakneck pace of work at Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory continues with the announcement that the company has started an energy conservation assessment in cooperation with several governmental agencies.
The Belgian port city of Zeebrugge has been getting a lot of attention in the last few weeks as it has become the destination for all of the inbound Tesla Model 3s headed for continental Europe. To prepare for the arrival of the Tesla Model 3, the port of Zeebrugge (double E, double G) installed 300 EVBox chargers in a dockside parking lot that hints at a future where charging stations are everywhere.

Trevor Page, founder of Model 3 Owners Club, recently decided it was time to leave the cold Canada winter behind and come down south. A Tesla Owners Florida event took place at EVANNEX to celebrate Trevor’s arrival (once again) in the Sunshine State. Here’s a recap, including pics of some wicked Teslas.
As some of you know, a few friends and I launched a city-to-city “Tesla Shuttle” network in Europe a year and a half ago. At some point last year, one of those guys suggested, “Hey, why don’t we open up our platform for other Tesla owners around the world who would like to shuttle passengers on routes in their regions?” Hmm, why didn’t I think of that?
CleanTechnica writers now have 6 Tesla Model 3s, 3 Tesla Model Ss, 2 Chevy Bolts, 1 Nissan LEAF (after 2-3 retired Nissan LEAFs), 1 BMW i3, 1 Peugeot iOn, 1 Kia Soul EV, and 1 Zero Motorcycle. That makes 15 electric vehicles — if you don’t count the electric bikes we have as well!
Welcome to our new weekly #CleanTechnica video recap of some of our favorite stories of the week. In this new feature, Alex Guberman from “E for Electric” and I provide our opinions on hot news from our decade+ of experience with electric vehicles.
As a German engineer, I am today more concerned than ever about the ability of our auto industry to survive and prosper.
