Facebook and electricity company Pacific Power announced a partnership this week to build 437 megawatts (MW) worth of new solar projects in Oregon to power Facebook’s Prineville Data Center with 100% renewable energy.
In order to boost the rate of electric vehicle use amongst customers, the two biggest utility companies in Oregon — Portland General Electric and Pacific Power — have jointly filed plans to install new electric vehicle charging stations, to educate the public on plug-in vehicles, and to support the purchase of electric buses throughout the state.
