So why not suck out the excess, then store it in holes deep underground — there are thousands upon thousands of old oil and gas wells just waiting for some useful purpose to come along — or use it to make biofuel, fertilizer, medicine, and biodegradable plastics? It sounds like the ideal solution to a problem that affects us all.
