Mercedes & Bosch Team Up For Self-Driving Tech, While Audi & Porsche Commit To Work…

The world’s largest auto manufacturers and parts suppliers are banding together to bring self-driving cars to market as quickly as possible. The scope and complexity of the undertaking means it is more economical to combine forces rather that continue to work toward the goal separately. Bosch and Daimler have recently agreed to work together, and the heads of Porsche and Audi have announced their companies will work more closely together.

Energy Giant Engie Buys EV Charging Leader EV-Box (Exclusive Interview)

As you probably saw, I was one of the keynote speakers at EV-Box’s inaugural rEVolution summit. I noticed ahead of time that the inspiring Engie exec Thierry Lepercq was going to be one of the other speakers, but I did not anticipate the huge news that was to come. At the very end of the summit, EV-Box CEO Kristof Vereenooghe slow-walked us through the announcement, somewhat teasing the audience as he unveiled that EV-Box had just become a part of Engie.

Munro Motor Reveals The Munro 2.0

The Chinese firm Munro Motor has revealed an interesting-looking new electric scooter dubbed the Munro 2.0 — capable of up to 30 miles of travel and starting at ~$800 in China. With 2 battery packs, the model features a range of up to 60 miles (reportedly). The most expensive configurations of the model will run ~$1,200.
