The electrical panel is getting in on the renewable residence fun with a new partnership between Panasonic and Span that promises to bring a new level of renewables integration to the party. The agreement will see the two companies partnering to more seamlessly integrate Panasonic’s Evervolt energy storage systems with Span’s intelligent, connected electrical panels.
Span, maker of the smart electrical panel, has partnered with LG to develop a fully integrated electrical and energy management system for the home. The new offering will integrate Span’s smart panel and LG’s RESU energy storage units to give homeowners unprecedented control over their energy to enable them to use it when the want, how they want.
We talked to the folks at Span about the launch of the Span Panel last week, then jumped on a plane to Solar Power International 2019 in Salt Lake City, Utah to experience it first-hand. We found that not only did it look far better in person, it had way more tricks up its sleeves than the initial launch let on.
