Works has more than 20 years working in high-growth software companies, as well as a passion for riding motorcycles. He brings his expertise to grow Alta Motors’ expansion across the US and internationally by next year.
Alta Motors, the other electric motorcycle company in California, has a few good pieces of news to announce. Alta Motors has added 36 new dealerships in 16 new states in the past year. As of today, that brings the total to 41 dealers. That means, most likely, you too can have fun in the woods! 🙂
The Alta Redshift MX electric motorcycle is designed to compete successfully against the best off-road bikes in the world. To do that, it needs a great battery that is both powerful and light in weight. Even though it begins with the same 18650 lithium ion battery cells as Tesla uses in its Model S and Model X cars, it packages them in a way that is unique to Alta. The result is an electric motorcycle battery with higher energy density than virtually any other battery in a production vehicle.

An electric Alta Motors Redshift MX, ridden by a just-returned-from-retirement Josh Hill (a former Factory Yamaha racer), managed to place 4th at the recent Red Bull Straight Rhythm event in Pomona, California, in the 250 class. Note that this was in competition with gas-powered models.
