Mercedes Budgets $23 Billion For Battery Cells Over Next Decade

Mercedes says it has committed to purchasing battery cells worth $23 billion between now and 2030. All those cells will be used to build battery packs at factories in Kamenz, Untertuerkheim, and Sindelfingen in Germany, as well as Beijing, Bangkok, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama according to Reuters

Reuters has obtained preliminary US government data which shows that, overall, coal jobs only increased by 771 through Donald Trump's first year in the Oval Office, a figure which hides numerous job losses and only minor job gains in US coal states. 


The Largest Solar Farm In Alabama Is Now Online

The River Bend solar farm in Alabama is now online and contributing about 75 megawatts of electricity to the TVA power grid in seven southern states. Every year, it will keep 100,000 tons of carbon out of the skies over the state.
