Porsche will power its new office in Berlin with a $900,000, 88 ton solar pylon that will provide all the electricity needed to power the new building. It is also a symbol of the company’s commitment to electric cars.
As part of its efforts to prepare for and keep up with the changes occurring in industry, Porsche put €2.2 billion into research and development efforts during 2016 (FY), according to recent reports.
The CEO of Porsche, Oliver Blume, stated in a recent interview with the German paper Automobilwoche that the luxury auto manufacturer was aiming for around 20,000 Mission E electric car sales a year following launch.
