Last night, at an event a few blocks away from the Los Angeles Auto Show, BMW hosted the world premiere of its latest vision vehicle, dubbed the iNext.
It was recently announced that a Smart City Mobility Centre will be based at the University of Warwick’s Wellesbourne campus, with driverless capable vehicle evaluation taking place on the Coventry and Warwickshire campus. Workers at the center will develop electric vehicle technology with modular architectures and incorporate driverless capabilities.
General Motors says it is closing 3 assembly plants and two powertrain factories as sales of passenger cars continue to fall. It also says it will end production of the Chevy Volt on March 1.
