Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast is previewing its VF Limo Green in the Philippines, signaling its intent to enter the country’s seven-seat MPV segment, although the model has not yet been formally launched.

Local automotive publication AutoIndustriya.com reported that the Limo Green has been shown to the market and is being positioned for both private buyers and fleet operators. However, VinFast has indicated that a formal introduction is still forthcoming, characterizing current activity as a market teaser rather than an official rollout.

VinFast allowed a select group of content creators to test drive the vehicles in advance.

The VF Limo Green is configured as a three-row, seven-seat electric MPV. It is equipped with a 60.13-kilowatt-hour battery and a single electric motor producing about 201 horsepower and 280 Newton-meters of torque. VinFast cites a driving range of up to 450 kilometers under the NEDC testing cycle. The vehicle supports DC fast charging, with the battery capable of charging from 10% to 70% in approximately 30 minutes.

Pricing information circulated in early reports indicates a starting price of around P1.099 million (~$18,500) with VinFast’s battery subscription scheme, while a version with battery ownership is listed at roughly P1.399 million (~$24,150). The subscription model is designed to lower initial acquisition costs and includes battery performance guarantees tied to health thresholds.

The Limo Green’s positioning suggests a focus on high-utilization segments such as ride-hailing fleets, shuttle services, and institutional transport. In a market dominated by internal combustion MPVs, VinFast appears to be testing interest in electrifying a practical, high-volume category rather than introducing a niche premium offering.

Although the model has reportedly secured necessary regulatory clearances, VinFast representatives maintain that a formal launch announcement is still ahead. The teaser strategy reflects a cautious but deliberate approach as VinFast continues expanding across Southeast Asia, gauging market response before executing a full commercial introduction.
