BYD’s passenger vehicle sales have been on the rise, as I showed a few days ago when initially reporting on BYD’s September sales. That’s been fun to track, but our new bonus feature is tracking how many sales BYD has outside of China. Let’s see how September looked.
BYD had 180,700 sales abroad in September, down slightly (4.6%) from the 189,466 vehicles sold abroad in August 2026, but up dramatically — 154.6% — from September of 2025.
Across the first three quarters of the year, BYD has sold 1,342,960 vehicles outside of China. That’s a 93% increase year over year.
