BYD Commercial Vehicle Sales Up 24.7% in June

Following up on our report on BYD’s passenger vehicle sales in June 2026, here’s a report on the company’s commercial vehicle sales.
Overall, BYD’s commercial vehicle sales (all electric) were up 24.7% year over year in June, but were down 4.4% month over month. The company had 6,180 such sales in June 2026, versus 4,957 in June 2025 and 6,463 in May 2026.
Looking just at bus sales, BYD had 325 sales in June, down 16.5% from June 2025 and down 5.8% from May 2025. That’s not great.
Regarding BYD’s non-bus commercial vehicle sales, however, they totaled 5,855 in June, which was up 28.2% year over year and down jus 4.3% month over month. Much better.
Across the first half of the year as a whole, BYD had 2,549 electric bus sales, 28,587 sales of other electric commercial vehicles, and that combined for 31,136 sales so far this year. Those numbers are down slightly from 2,339, 30,344, and 32,683, respectively, in the first half of 2025.
