The Geothermal Technologies Office (GTO) in collaboration with ConnectWerx, a Partnership Intermediary under a Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA) through DOE’s Office of Technology Transitions, has opened an initial funding opportunity for Regional Partnerships for Geothermal Data.
Funding will support partnerships to identify regional data gaps and prioritize, plan, and execute geothermal data collection and dissemination activities. The ultimate aim is to incentivize and stimulate follow-up geothermal exploration and development activities.
GTO and ConnectWerx will host an information session on January 27, 2025, to provide more details about the scope, scale, and intent of the opportunity and ask questions. Concept papers are encouraged and due February 24, 2025, with full applications due April 22, 2025. Learn more on ConnectWerx’s website.
This article describes intended funding that is subject to change. DOE may issue funding as described herein, that is significantly different than described herein, or not at all.
