Electrify Expo is returning to New York with an event at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island on October 12-13, 2024. The event is expected to draw thousands of attendees to experience the latest in electric transportation, including cars, trucks, e-bikes, e-scooters, and more.
Considered to be North America’s largest EV festival, it covers more than one million square feet of outdoor space at the coliseum, and brings together major automotive manufacturers like Ford, Lexus, Lucid, Nissan, Porsche, Rivian, Tesla, and Toyota.
GMC will be making its Electrify Expo debut with its HUMMER EV and Sierra EV Denali, and Expo attendees will also have the opportunity to test drive various electric vehicles, including the Tesla Cybertruck, and learn about the technology behind them.
The expo aims to cater to a wide range of interests, from EV enthusiasts and early adopters to those simply curious about electric transportation. With New York being a leading market for EV adoption, particularly in the Long Island area, the event provides a valuable opportunity for consumers to explore the growing number of electric options available.
In addition to showcasing electric cars and trucks, Electrify Expo will also feature a variety of micromobility options such as e-bikes and e-scooters, reflecting their increasing popularity as a primary mode of transportation for many residents. The event will also include the final race of the Electrify Race League National Championship, a custom car show called Electrify Showoff, and the Amazon Recharge Zone, which will offer educational programming about EVs.
Electrify Expo opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased online or in person.
Launched in 2021 by automotive industry veteran BJ Birtwell, Electrify Expo emerged from the growing wave of consumer interest in electric vehicles. Recognizing the need for a dedicated space where people could experience these vehicles firsthand, Electrify Expo quickly gained traction. Within just a few years, it has evolved into North America’s largest electric vehicle festival, expanding from three events in its inaugural year to an eight-city tour in 2024.
This rapid growth reflects not only the increasing popularity of EVs but also Electrify Expo’s commitment to showcasing the full spectrum of electric mobility. Initially focused on electric cars and trucks, the expo now encompasses e-bikes, e-scooters, e-motorcycles, and more, mirroring the diversification of the EV market and its impact on all forms of transportation.
