Tesla is forming a new litigation department, CEO Elon Musk recently announced on Twitter. Tesla’s new litigation department will initiate and execute lawsuits, and the team will report directly to Elon Musk. He invited any applicants to send an email with three to five bullet points describing the evidence of their exceptional ability to a new Tesla email address.

Following this, he created a thread where he shared his commitment as to how this team would be used and a request for links to cases that applicants have tried.

“My commitment:

“We will never seek victory in a just case against us, even if we will probably win.

“We will never surrender/settle an unjust case against us, even if we will probably lose.”

Elon Musk also said that he was looking for hardcore streetfighters and said that there would be blood. What that means exactly, we don’t know.

As someone who supports Tesla and has been harassed online by members of the anti-Tesla group “TSLAQ,” I think it’s good to see Tesla and Elon wanting to fight back. Both Elon Musk and Tesla have been the punching bag for the mainstream media for several years. From 2018 through 2020, Tesla was continuously attacked and extreme critics definitely went too far. They have target supporters on Twitter and have actually sued Tesla, Elon Musk, and sometimes customers. They have also tried to cause Tesla financial harm. These efforts have had effects on employee morale and surely on Tesla’s stock value. They have also created controversy for a company that is just focused on making products that don’t pollute our planet and are fun to use.

I only hope that the current chaos doesn’t drown out Tesla’s mission or distract Elon Musk from his other dreams. I don’t think it will, but politically, things have been intensifying and the focus has shifted from the company’s original focus on EVs.

Looking on the bright side, Tesla doesn’t need to advertise.
