cybertruck visualizer

Did you know that you can build your own Tesla Cybertruck? The folks behind the Cybertruck Owners Club are pretty creative, and I love their new fun 3D tool that helps you preview the Cybertruck design of your dreams. You can do this in any color wrap, texture, or pattern that you upload. You can choose to have the white seats show, have the lights on or off, and even add a fun smoky effect. You can also view it in 360 degrees and save it as an image.

(Caution: don’t play with the visualizer while cooking or you may to call the fire department. Fortunately, I didn’t have to call the fire department, since I have a fire extinguisher.)

I am a huge LSU fan. (Geaux Tigers!) So, naturally, my Cybertruck will have LSU stuff on it. I love this visualizer, but there are some glitches that could use some loving. I wasn’t able to upload a transparent png image, so I had to go to Canva and make one that matched the paint on the image. This took me an hour. (RIP salmon filet. Hello smoky kitchen.)

Another issue that was off and on was that once you put on a sticker (that’s what your graphic’s called), sometimes you can’t delete it, so I had to refresh a few times. Also, once you place the image on the Cybertruck, it’s there until you delete it. There was no way for me to move the image over or resize it, so I accidentally sacrificed my dinner to the fire gods instead.

Also, when I downloaded the final image, the watermarked logo for the Cybertruck Owner’s Club was kind of taking over. I understand the need for credit (I’m an artist, I get it, and it’s fine), but it drew my focus to the watermarked logo instead of the Cybertruck, which was basically hidden behind it. Not to worry, I found a way around it, threw on some extra LSU flags in Canva, and lit a candle for that poor salmon filet.

This is a fun tool that I think our favorite Photoshop expert, Twitter user @28DelaysLater, will have a blast with. The glitches bugged me for a moment, but they were easy to work around. Fortunately, my Cajun side pasta that I was cooking from scratch turned out beautifully.

If you haven’t done so yet, go build your own Cybertruck!
