Is the “Price is Right” really still on TV?
Indeed, it is.
Is this the most important cleantech story of the day?
Indeed, it is not.
That said, to have the Tesla Model 3 appear as a big prize on one of the most iconic TV game shows in American history is a notable milestone to recognize.
Furthermore, how to better demonstrate that there’s “no demand” for the Tesla Model 3 than with the reaction of the lucky winner:

The extra comment from Alter Viggo is also spot on (as are many things tweeted out by Alter Viggo). The winner may be happy and smiling today, but I would bet money the smile on his face is bigger the first time he drives the Model 3.
Additionally, there’s no doubt at all that he will join the wave of hundreds of thousands of other Tesla drivers who cherish and are grateful for their car practically every day — whether for being the safest car on the road, the most fun to drive, the car with the coolest tech, or the prettiest and cleanest.
There is one gigantic downside, though, and he’ll just have to suffer through it. After driving the Tesla Model 3, any time he has to drive a non-Tesla is going to absolutely suck. It’s hard to explain, but I’d say that going back to a gasmobile after getting used to a Tesla is even more dramatic than the first time driving a Tesla. It feels like you’ve been thrown back 100 years ago or been tricked into driving a tractor disguised as a car. Going around corners feels like being on a wild horse that is trying to throw you over the railings. Honestly, it’s impossible to convey to someone who hasn’t had the experience.
Congratulations to the lucky winner. CleanTechnica would be happy to publish a review article if you ever read this. 😀

I don't like paywalls. You don't like paywalls. Who likes paywalls? Here at CleanTechnica, we implemented a limited paywall for a while, but it always felt wrong — and it was always tough to decide what we should put behind there. In theory, your most exclusive and best content goes behind a paywall. But then fewer people read it! We just don't like paywalls, and so we've decided to ditch ours. Unfortunately, the media business is still a tough, cut-throat business with tiny margins. It's a never-ending Olympic challenge to stay above water or even perhaps — gasp — grow. So ...
