New Tesla Shuttle Routes Launch In Calgary, Alberta

Another brand new Tesla Model 3 has arrived and 16 new Tesla Shuttle routes have been added. In fact, these are our first routes in Canada!

In the heart of Canadian oil country, Calgary, Ryan R. Mitchell has received his new black Tesla Model 3 with vegan white interior (learn more about those amazing white vegan leather seats in the completely exclusive CleanTechnica video tour of the seat factory on the bottom of this article*). That black–white combo remains my favorite — looks like the perfect Bond car (if only Tesla were a British company).

Ryan shared a bit more about his Model 3 purchase and joining Tesla Shuttle for this article: “This journey has been on my mind since March 2016. Only after a few years of saving and practicing patience has all the hard work accumulated. I’ve wanted a Tesla for a while, but struggled with justifying the cost. The last thing most people want is more debt. It was only upon reading an article about Tesla Shuttle did I realize how my dream car could transform into a business. Since that day over a year ago, the how and why of getting a Tesla merged into a workable plan.” Help a brother out by booking a trip or 10 in the Calgary region. (Ryan gets 93% of any trip revenue.)

In a short summary that I, as a writer, found superb, Ryan also highlighted eloquently that the energy transition is happening everywhere, even in “oil country.”

“This oil and gas city of mine has steadily been growing into a multiple-energies city. One that can be clean, green, and profitable. The Tesla Shuttle service is one more proof of our sustainability. I am super eager to grow this offering into multiple branches, with more origin cities for Alberta. Thank you for listening and we’ll see you on the road.”

I see that Ryan has also been fond of letting his little one enjoy the experience as much as possible too. Our little girls have thoroughly enjoyed charging electric vehicles, and probably know much more about Tesla and Elon Musk than anyone too young to go to kindergarten should know, but in the end, it brings them joy as well and is all about protecting their future and making their future more fun, so maybe these are good things to learn about at a young age.

Ryan’s boy is not yet able to run around like my two little monsters angels, but he’s already able to help charge the car. I’m sure in a couple of years he’ll be racing to the charging cable to be the one to do so.

I’m not sure of the child labor laws in Canada, but it appears that Ryan also has the little one doing quality control on the seats before taking the first Tesla Shuttle passengers aboard. You can thank him later.

We’ll check in with Ryan again in a few weeks. Hopefully he is able to find many travelers interested in riding in a supersplendulous Model 3 between Calgary Airport (or other parts of Calgary) and Banff, Canmore, Drumheller, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, and Red Deer. (As a non-Canadian, I agree, the region has some … interesting names.)
