Tesla 11 Year “Death Anniversary” Events — From Curaçao To Denmark

May 12th, 2019 by

Tesla Death Anniversary events are being planned from Curaçao to Denmark. (Background information on Tesla’s 11 Year Death Anniversary are here and here.) Below are some fun ones I’ve gathered some information about, some pics to whet the appetite, and some contact info.

If you would like to host or join an event, let us know!

Denmark: Thisted–Nykøbing Mors

Søren Ellemann Hansen is organizing a trip with a group of Tesla owners from Thisted (meeting at the harbor at 17:00) to Nykøbing Mors (at 17:10). They will drive in a procession and potentially even include a Tesla hearse!

When they land at the destination, they might drink non-alcoholic burial beers before starting a return journey at 18:00.

For sure, they will have many good laughs about Jesper Berggreen’s variety of fun Danish stories.

50 State Tour

Eddie Bautista’s Tesla has already started its journey. It is on a ship and should arrive in Seattle, Washington, by May 27th. The entire trip through all 50 US states is planned for 6 months and 35,000 miles. As you can imagine, exact “meeting times” for people to meet or partially join Eddie are impossible at this stage, but you can contact him or follow his blogging (more info below) to make it happen. Eddie writes:

It is a 40+year old dream on my bucket list and just a few short weeks ago I decided to ask the company whose hammock I will be sleeping on in all 50 states if they would sponsor me.

Surprising, they said yes — and I agreed to let them wrap my 2015 – P85D with their company advertising. Attached are photos of how my car looks. Also attached are a couple of 7-sec videos of how the inside of my Model S looks after I converted it from 7-seater to a 2 seater.

There are 3 ways that it could be possible for other Tesla owners to meet me on the Death Anniversary cross country tour:

#1 is to follow me on my blog, which should be online by May 25:

AdventureNap.com

GetMock.com

#2 contact the Tesla Hawaii Club president, Nanette. She will have updated information on where I will be.

#3 email me at crikescrikes@gmail.com, subject: “Tesla’s Death Anniversary, 50 State Tour”

Hard to beat that.

Twin Cities, Minnesota: MN Tesla Club

The MN Tesla Club is organizing an event via Facebook. If you’d like to join but are not on Facebook, you can also email Brian Anderson here: nikola@andersons.us

Below are several beautiful pics from MN Tesla Club members, including my favorite Tesla ever (the colorful one representing the dire climate crisis we’re in).

Salt Lake City, Utah: SLC Cars & Coffee Canyon Run

The Utah Tesla Club is also hosting an event through its Facebook event page and shared some beautiful pics. Organizer Megan Gale (@MeganGale) shared some more info:

Location start: 9:00 am at Alpha Coffee, then around 10:00 am heading up Big Cottonwood Canyon for a group drive and photos as a group at the top.

We are offering rides to anyone without a Tesla.

Here are the beautiful Tesla pics from Utah (hard to tell which gorgeous portions to look at — the cars or the landscape):

Curaçao — EV Revolution Launches!

I will be in Curaçao this week for the launch of an EV association in the country on May 15. Curaçao Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath and Minister of Economic Development Kenneth Gusbertha will also be presenting at the event. There are a million reasons to go electric, and two million reasons on island nations. To do my part, I’ll be chatting about those reasons the evening before and “after hours” on the 15th in honor of the 11 year Tesla death anniversary — as well as during my keynote presentation.

I’ll have more to report about the event over the course of the week, and will share some highlights from the EV association launch afterward. In the meantime, here are a few fun slides from my long presentation:

There are several other events planned as well, and thousands of cities around the world without an event planned that could use one!

If you’d like to join an event or create one, click through to our contact page and choose “I want to host or join a Tesla 11 Year Death Anniversary event!
